Motorway

This is a six-hour course for people who already have a reasonable amount of driving experience and have demonstrated mastery of the car’s controls.

Since 4 June 2018 learner drivers can drive on any part of the 2,300 miles that make up the UK motorway network. You do have to be with an ADI and drive their dual controlled car displaying L-Plates.

This course is a natural follow on from driving on fast dual carriageways. We will coach you how to join, drive along and leave the motorway. Our focus will be on controlling the car at higher speeds, developing hazard perception to build your awareness and planning skills. Traffic is usually moving fast, and the road might be busy, so you want to stay focused, especially when keeping a safe following distance from any vehicle in front.

The course is also suitable for people who may have passed their driving test years ago, but do not feel confident about driving on the motorway.

Our driving school delivers motorway lessons using the M11 from East London onto the M25, M20 and M2. Our lesson times are weekdays between 8am and 7pm, Saturday mornings 8am until 1pm. We also run lessons on occasional Sundays.
